ROBot InterCONnect System

Welcome to the RobiCon Wiki! Enjoy these sneak-peak photos of the first RobiCon compliant hardware being developed at CircuitMonkey.com !

The RobiCon system is an open source standard for interconnection of hobbyist robot components. The system defines connector type and pin-outs for three to eight pin connectors for power, digital I/O and analog I/O.

This system is intended to provide robot experimenters who have a minimal hardware background an easy and fool-proof way to connect sensors and actuators to their robot designs. The system prevents damage to hardware components through a system of inexpensive predefined connectors that are polarized and color coded. Best of all, the system is an open standard so that any electronics vendor can build compliant devices and cables for the system.
