RobiCon.org was started in 2008 to address the need for an open standard for connecting robotic controllers, actuators and sensors in a simple fool-proof fashion. RobiCon.org compliant devices are intended to take the pain out of connecting and configuring hardware elements of hobby-level robot designs for beginners and software oriented experimenters.
